Dealing with COVID-19
Our lives have become very limited in these strange times of Covid 19, often with little relational contact throughout the day.
It is important during these times to stay connected and keep a structure to your day.
Connecting with others through phone, skype and other social media platforms is vital as it enlarges our world and allows us to focus on another often chatting and sharing our story tells us we are not alone and we are all in this together.
We can stay apart but be connected at the same time.
Social Media is also an important connecting tool. There are different forms allowing us to connect, sing, play games, music and connect with others across the world.
Structure in our day gives us purpose, intention and a sense of achievement.
I am not talking about structuring the full day but putting in key markers. Start with meal times, then work times, then exercise and recreation times. If we structure too much we will be left disappointed. If we just structure two things and we get them done then it is a success. Go easy on yourselves.
I am currently providing therapy sessions face-to-face, virtually, zoom and by phone.
